Stuttgart – Mercedes-Benz will celebrate the birthday of the automobile together with the official brand clubs at the former Tempelhof Airport, which will host the largest Mercedes-Benz gathering of all time on 27 and 28 August. In addition to an exhibition of 1,800 vehicles, test drives and accompanied rides, a colourful program of events is planned.
Various live bands will play on a central stage as exhibitors guide attendees through the weekend. Talks on the history of the automobile, design and innovation will alternate with reports from the entire site. The varied programme also includes competitions and autograph sessions with DTM drivers, as well as children’s entertainment with the safety film “Willy Weitzel hat’s geschnallt.”
The summer party for younger guests will also feature a range of activities such as a children’s driving school, bouncy castles, mini-races and much more.
Live bands and DJs will entertain the crowds on the Saturday night.
Carl Benz submitted the patent application for his Benz patent motor car to the German Patent Office in Berlin125 years ago. Now Mercedes-Benz is returning to Berlin to celebrate with residents of the city – and entrance is free.
The event entrance is via Tempelhofer Park (Gates 4a, 9 and 10). Due to the lack of parking spaces on the event site, we would ask you to leave your car at home and use Tempelhof U-Bahn and S-Bahn station. The site can be reached using the U6, S41, S42 and S47 lines.
